The P98 is a Personal Defense Weapon (aka PDW) which was created for close combat situations in 1990s. The cocking handle, magazine catch and fire selector were designed to be ambidextrous operated. It is equipped with two mil-spec rails and top rail for mounting red dot sights or other rail attachments, and it has a build-in iron sight on the top rail for back up.
